Breaking from the traditional “action-shot”, here we have Ron Cura at the start gate for the first backcountry stage of the Scott Enduro Cup at Angel Fire, NM in 2016. This moment is always an intense one for me, trying not to let my nerves get to me, and just concentrate on the riding at hand. The environment totally made the day, everyone who competed was really cool and scenery was incredible. Looking forward to another season of racing coming up before too long!
If you want to ride the trails that were used for the backcountry day of this event, check out the NM Trail Maps tab on my website, and find the Greenbelt trails. This section is the Elliot Barker trail, which has 3 main descents, each of which was used as a stage for the Scott Cup.
